Selling & Donation Policy

This Selling & Donation Policy is part of our Terms & Conditions ("Terms") and should be therefore read alongside our main Terms: Terms & Conditions.
Please carefully review our Selling & Donation Policy when sending in items for sale or donation. This policy will apply to any items sent to PreLoved KidStyles.
PreLoved KidStyles strives to offer the best service possible, which includes listing the best items possible. In doing so, all items submitted may not meet our strict criteria of what should be listed. We understand and respect that you may feel different, but we hope you will understand that our goal is to make sure that PreLoved KidStyles shoppers have the best offerings, and you have the best opportunity to have your items sold.
CONSIGNMENT
Listing and Earnings
Once an item is received, processed, and listed by us, you will be notified through your given email address. You will have 24 hours to make an adjustment to the price once it's listed. We recommend not changing the price by more than 25%. If an item is in someone's cart or has been sold you will not be able to adjust the price. Once 24 hours has elapsed the ability to adjust the price will be automatically locked and cannot be reopened.
Your items will be listed without the ability to have sales/coupons/discounts attached for 7 days. After 7 days we reserve the right to apply a sale/coupon/discount to any item, in which case your payout will decrease in accordance to the new adjusted price.
Earnings for the sale of your items will be deposited into your account within seven business days of the closing of the item's return window.
Earnings are based on final sale price per item and payout per item are as follows:
- Stage 1: $5 to $20 = 12%
- Stage 2: $21 to $35 = 20%
- Stage 3: $36 to $50 = 35%
- Stage 4: $51 to $65 = 45%
- Stage 5: $66 to $80 = 55%
- Stage 6: $81+ = 65%
An additional 5% bonus is available to be earned by you for each item that you provide a photos for. Obviously, you would have to take the photo before shipping the clothes (We recommend NOT to process the photos before you are notified of the items that we have accepted for listing).
Photo Guidelines:
- Minimum two photos against a pure #ffffff hex white background.
- Photos taken with 5K white light.
- No camera or light glare within the photo.
- Clothing laid flat on surface with photo taken above. Shoes photo taken from front, side, back, at the same level with shoe laying flat on the surface. Accessories (hats, gloves, etc.) can be at any angle that represents the items accurately.
- No wearing of items, or posing them on hangers or similar.
- No creases, crimples, folds (except arms to keep them in frame) of the items.
- No lint or foreign items on the clothing/footwear.
- Remove lint, dirt, string, etc (suggestion lint roller).
- Close up shot of any minor defects.
- No color enhancements or flaw correction of items. The only editing that should be done is the removal of the background and the smoothing of the surrounding edges due to the background removal.
- Photos must meet PreLoved KidStyles approval before listing.
If in doubt of the guidelines see PreLoved KidStyles listings as a guide to an acceptable photograph.
Do to inventory holding costs and constant inventory supply your items will only remain listed for a term 45 days. At the end of the term you will have the ability to reclaim your item(s) if they have not sold, or extend the term for no more than another 30 days. The reclaim and extension period is a window of 7 days leading up to the end of the term. If your item(s) have not been reclaimed or extended at the end of the term they become the property of PreLoved KidStyles. Please see "Unsold Item Reclaim" and "Unsold Item Extensions" below.
Unlisted Item Returns (ONLY applies to item(s) that were never listed)
When requesting a label/mailer to send in your clothes you will have the opportunity to submit a request to return unlisted item(s) (items that do not meet our listing criteria). If requested, all item(s) not listed will be returned to you once the fee to cover shipping has been met by the sale of your item(s). This fee will be deducted from your earnings before you are able to collect earnings.
"Return Unlisted" request MUST be, and can ONLY be requested on submission for a label/mailer to send in your clothes. If the request is not made all unlisted item(s) becomes the property of PreLoved KidStyles and will be processed as a donation.
Unsold Item Reclaim (ONLY applies to item(s) that were listed but never sold)
Send an email with the subject "Consignment Reclaim - (NAME)" and list the SKU of the item(s) you would like returned in the body. This email MUST be sent within the last 7 days of the 45 day listing term. Item(s) will be returned with a standard shipping fee charge.
Each item that you chose to list above our recommended listing range will be subject to an additional charge of $5.00.
If we do not receive a reclaim email by midnight on the 45th day of an item(s) listing all item(s) becomes the property of PreLoved KidStyles and can no longer be reclaimed or extended.
If you fail to pay the standard shipping fee and any additional listing charges mentioned above after being notified of the cost by the end of the term, or within 48 hours of the end of the term if you were notified on the last day of you term, all item(s) becomes the property of PreLoved KidStyles and can no longer be reclaimed or extended.
Unsold Item Extension
Send an email with the subject "Consignment Extension - (NAME)" and list the SKU of the item(s) you would like extended in the body. This email MUST be sent within the last 7 days of the 45 day listing term.
Each item that you choose to extend will be subject to an additional $0.50 charge that will be taken out of the earnings on the sale of the item, or upon reclamation if you choose if the item does not sell.
Each item that you chose to list above our recommended listing range will be subject to an additional charge of $5.00.
If we do not receive an extension email by midnight on the 45th day of an item(s) listing all item(s) becomes the property of PreLoved KidStyles and can no longer be reclaimed or extended.
SELL TO PreLoved KidStyles
Once your item(s) are received and processed you will be notified through your given email address. You will be presented with a final price and item count. You will then have an opportunity to accept or deny the offer. On average we accept 50% of submitted items and the price varies based on brand, condition, age, article.
You will have 72 hours to accept or reject the offer, after which the offer is recinded and all items become the property of PreLoved KidStyles.
If you accept the offer, items not selected will be available to be sent back to you.
If you selected "Return Unlisted", item(s) not selected will be immediately processed for return upon acceptance of the offer. The fee for the return will be deducted from the proceeds of the selected items.
If you did not select "Return Unlisted", unlisted items become the property of PreLoved KidStyles and will be processed as a donation.
If you reject the offer.
If you selected "Return Unlisted" contact customer service within 48 hours of rejecting the offer to process the return shipping of your item(s). A standard return charge will be charged to you. If you fail to contact customer service and pay the return shipping within 48 hours the item(s) become PreLoved KidStyles property.
If you did not select "Return Unlisted", item(s) will become the property of PreLoved KidStyles.
DONATION
Donations are processed in one of four ways.
Donations are sent directly to charitable organizations that have an infrastructure to offer community support from the distribution or sale of your offerings.
Donations are sent directly to a family shelter to distribute amongst families in need.
Donations are sold as a "Bundled Grab" and proceeds from the sale are donated to children and family charitable organizations.
Donations are sent to textile recycle centers.
RETURN MY ITEMS
"Return My Items" gives you the ability to retrieve your UNLISTED ITEMS (does not apply to your listed items) with a reserved fee that will be deducted from the proceeds of your items that were sold. If enough earnings is not achieved through the sale of your items to cover the cost of the return shipping of $12.00 you will be afforded the opportunity to cover the difference by contacting customer service.
IMMEDIATE REJECTIONS
In order to reduce processing time, and deter the receipt of items that cannot be sold or donated please take note of the following.
Your entire lot will be immediately rejected if your submission meets one of the following:
If an item is discovered to have human waste, human waste stain, blood, insects, cigarette odor, or be wet/damp.
If any one item is discovered to be inauthentic/counterfeit.
If the majority of clothes are clearly dirty...in a condition you wouldn't buy new.
If your submission meets one of these rejection causes your items will not be returned unless you have chosen to have your items returned during your submission, in which case you will need to pay for the return shipping up front; in addition you will be charged for the initial submission shipping and a $5 processing fee. Upon notification of one of the rejection cause you will have five business days to submit the fees or forfeit your submitted items and have no further claim on your items. Contact customer service to process the charge.
ACESSED PROCESSING FEE
Please examine the your submission carefully before shipping. We want to keep prices low for everyone to enjoy, but costs quickly go up from receiving too many items we do not list. In order to discourage submission of clothes that clearly go against our list of items we do not accept:
- Heavily used items
- Vintage items
- Used underwear, socks, bathing suits, and swim trunks
- Men's & women's items, children's items size 8 up
- Custom/hand made/inauthentic items
- Altered or personalized items
- Items with odor, or stains
- Items with splitting, cracking, peeling, or shrunk
- Items with heavy pilling, runs, or undone stitching
- Items with rips or tears
- Items with stuck, loose, missing, or broken closures
- Toys, books, baby bottles/utensils/etc
there will be an assessed processing fee on your submission if more than 15% of your itmes fall within the listed criteria. The full cost of the shipping of your items to PreLoved KidStyles will be billed to you, a $5 processing fee, and the return shipping of the items to you will be charged up front before we ship them back. Upon PreLoved KidStyles notifying you, you will have five business days to submit the fees or forfeit your submitted items and have no further claim on your items. Contact customer service to process the charge.
